Sales Tax Threshold REMOVED on ALL Gold, Silver, Platinum Bullion coins and Numismatics in the great State of TEXAS!
We just received information about a new bill passed regarding Precious Metals and Numismatic Bullion coins. The bill states there is NO more sales tax on gold, silver or numismatic coins in Texas for orders under $1,000 starting OCT 1 2013. Texas and Louisiana repeal sales tax on precious metals
Exemption for Gold, Silver, Numismatic Coins and Bullion – Minimum Purchase Threshold Removed House Bill 78, effective Oct. 1, 2013, removes the minimum purchase threshold requirement for exemption on the sale of all gold, silver or numismatic coins; or of platinum, gold or silver bullion. Prior to the effective date of the legislation, only sales to a purchaser in a single transaction in which the total sales price of all of the items sold equals $1,000 or more qualified for exemption. Tax Code Section 151.336.
